Spring

Hello all... It has been a really, really long time since I have been on here. The last month and a half have been pretty crazy at the Witzke house. Raydn was sick 3 times (so a very tired Mom and Dad), then Timm and then me. We also made a trip to Medicine hat to visit family and Raydns play group has been insanely busy!! That has not left any time for scrapbooking. This layout "Spring" has sat for literally a month on my scrapbook table (well not quite but it has felt that long)....I quickly finished it today and so glad because by this time I lost all interest in it....on to something new :)
On the bright side, as I am sitting here writing this, the sun has actually peaked out.....I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!!! It has felt like 3 months of overcast. Snow, snow go away!! I think I will have to take advantage of this day and go enjoy a walk with my favourite little man :)

Adore..

Brrr....I am SO ready for some nice weather and SOON!! This has definitely felt like the longest winter ever!
That has been pretty much the consensus that I have been hearing from everyone! Everyone is ready for summer..... I wonder if mother nature knows that spring is suppose to be in 2 weeks...I think she missed that memo.

Well Timm and I found out that Raydn likes embossing powder, Raydn got into my room and found the bright glittery blue embossing powder and dumped it all over himself and then went to find dad. All I heard was "honey, Raydn has glitter ALL over him!"... I never knew that he was so good at unscrewing lids..oh those fingers, get into everything. I'm sure it won't be the last thing he does. I finally got child locks for my ribbon draws and cabinets so it keeps him out. He sure wasn't impressed though ;p

This layout "Adore" turned out totally differently than the picture I had in my head. I was going to go with blue and ended up more green. I used dark blue, olive green and gold glimmer mist on the flower,  the big iridescent leaves and the ribbon. Glimmer misting has got to be one of my favourite techniques to use, there are just SO many pretty colours. I liked the technique that I used on my last layout with the pearls on the grungeboard so I thought I would try it on chip board. Again I used the green and gold pearls. My new cricket cartridgesarrived, so I used the cartridge "serenade" for the bird cage and lettering.... such a great cartridge. I love my cricket, it seems as soon as I got it I can't stop scrapbooking. The best gift EVER!!!
The only thing I forgot to do was I wanted to gold glimmer mist the bird paper before I put anything on it....opps! Thats the 2nd time I did that.
This paper"twigs" by The Yellow bicycle was awesome, I feel in love with it as soon as I saw it. So cute!!!

Well I hope everyone survives this cold weather and stays warm. I had to laugh when I heard on the news that someone suggested if everyone turns on their bbq's and opens the lids....maybe it would kick global warming into high gear. lol. Well one can hope. Hehehe. Take care everyone!
